AWARDS - AASM YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD

All students, postdoctoral fellows and residents who are members of the AASM and under 40 years of age are eligible to apply for the AASM Young Investigator Award.

The AASM Research Committee will evaluate Young Investigator abstract submissions based on scientific merit. It is expected that the Young Investigator will have first author status on the abstract and will have played an important role in conducting the research. The Research Committee will provide recommendations to the AASM Board of Directors for final selection of the award winner. The winner and up to four honorable mentions will be recognized and honored at SLEEP 2010.

To apply for the AASM Young Investigator Award, candidates will need to use the APSS abstract submission system. During the application process, candidates must indicate that they are interested in applying for the award, provide their AASM Membership ID Number, date of birth, and the name of the senior investigator involved with the project. The submission process must be completed before Tuesday, December 15, 2009.
