AWARDS - SLEEP RESEARCH SOCIETY TRAINEE AWARD BASED ON SCIENTIFIC MERIT

The Sleep Research Society Trainee Travel Award Based on Scientific Merit is intended to further the career development of students who are actively pursuing an academic degree, or who are pursuing postdoctoral training in sleep research.

All eligible applicants must be predoctoral student or postdoctoral fellow members of the Sleep Research Society at the time of application, and must be actively engaged in sleep research. Recipients must register for and attend SLEEP 2010 and the SRS Trainee Symposia Series on Saturday, June 5, 2010, and submit a program evaluation. Awards will be distributed only when recipients submit a program evaluation at the conclusion of the Trainee Symposia Series.

To apply for the SRS Trainee Travel Award Based on Scientific Merit, candidates must be the first author of an abstract. Applicants must use the online APSS abstract submission system. During the application process, candidates must indicate that they are interested in applying for the award and provide their SRS Membership ID Number. The submission process must be completed before Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Winners will be notified via e-mail (or fax if no e-mail address is provided) prior to the SLEEP 2010 advanced registration deadline.
